Why Tutoring...?
It has always been our understanding that children learn best when they enjoy the subject they are being taught. With this in mind, all efforts are given to create an environment with a positive and sometimes humorous atmosphere to help the child engage. This can involve confidence building, patience, games, lots of compliments and sometimes outright bribery with candy.
We are a private tutoring based company created with the sole purpose of being a helping hand. When your child is so lost with a subject, we are here to give them a map to help make sense of it all. We specialize in grade 7-12.
Meet Petro...
Petro Moser is the owner of Pepper Tutoring and specialises in Afrikaans. Born with a love for the language, Petro is an experienced tutor with a drive to help her students succeed.
Raised in an Afrikaans household, she is fluently bilingual and well equipped to navigate the intricacies of the language.
Meet Michael...
Michael Moser tutors Mathematics, Physical Science, and English.
A skilled communicator, Michael has a knack for breaking down complex concepts in a way that can be easily understood and has almost a decade of volunteer experience working with children and teenagers.
Time: 45 minutes | Cost: R170
Time: 60 minutes | Cost: R190
*Minimum of 4 lessons on first booking to be able to get an accurate assessment of student and their needs. Number of lessons after that is negotiable.
Online Platform
All lessons will be done over the ZOOM or GOOGLE MEETUPS platform. The student will receive the link to join the lesson via email / calendar invite and a reminder 5 minutes prior to lesson.
Payments & Penalties
- Rescheduling of lessons must be made 6 hours in advance. If not, a 50% cancellation fee will apply.
- If no notification of cancellation is received or if the student does not arrive for scheduled session, the full lesson fee will be charged.
- Parents of students will receive an invoice at the end of each month for all lessons scheduled.
- Payments must be paid by the 15th of the following month, and will be subject to a 10% lateness fee should this deadline not be met

The owner, Petro, sported Pepper as a nickname and thought it was terribly catchy.
Do you do group tutoring?
Due to Covid, we are not holding group sessions at this time. It can, however, be arranged for residents of the same household.
What’s with the ducks?
We do not speak of the ducks..
Protection Policy
The internet and the world is a scary place, which is why we take the following steps to keep everyone safe.
- All online sessions are recorded to ensure that all tutoring remains of the highest standards.
- Parents may request access to these recordings.
- Parents are allowed to sit in on any session at any time.
- The tutors will not accept the contact information of any student unless they are of age.
- Any contact between tutors and students must strictly relate to tutoring and contact may only be made via email.
Once In Person lessons resume:
- Lessons will be at 12 Main Road, Bergvliet
- All in person sessions are done in an open living room.
- Parents are allowed to sit in on any session at any time.
Contact Pepper Tutoring...
The calendar will show when Petro and Michael is not available. If there is no meeting scheduled then you are welcome to request this time but it will also depending on if there is pending requests. Time slots are given at a first come basis.
Once your booking is confirmed, your child will receive a calendar invite for their lessons
Please remember there is a minimum of 4 lessons to start
